Heavy Pat's

This month's fly is the Heavy Pat's jig fly. The Pat's Rubberleg nymph has become one of our best selling flies at the shop. This version was created by our employee Logan Messina as a tight line nymphing pattern. This fly would serve as the bottom fly in the rig keeping everything on the bottom.

 

Hook -  Firehole 570 Jig size 8

Bead - Matte Black slotted tungsten 4.5mm

Underbody Wire -  0.25 Lead Free Wire 

Thread -  Red 6/0 

Legs -  Brown round Rubber legs

Dubbing -  SLF spikey squirrel
